This Campaign Gives Everyone the Ability to Sign for Positive Awareness Silently and Effectively Right Now

When is this campaign a success?

This campaign has no end.

The Question: "What does that mean?" Is one stage of success

"What does that mean?" Is not always asked so we have come up with a way to answer the question without question!
The Sign 4 C index card is now available for you to carry with you when you plan a Sign 4 C photo opportunity.
Print index cards from the approved template found here: Sign4C Index Card

Another stage of success begins when people answer they are in support by silently signing "C" before leaving the stage, camera, podium, scene or area

The campaign is a success when used everyday or until research results in a cure for the victims of Hepatitis C. Then the sign can change to a "V"

This Campaign is Not a Secret Like Hep C Is! Tell everyone you know!

“I have always been a very boisterous, loud, outgoing, extremely social person, but since I retreated from society, when I endured treatment, I seem to have acquired a fear of people. I am not the social butterfly I once was, and realize that this illness and this journey has changed me, as well as given me a much deeper insight. I have always said that I wanted to scream “HepC Awareness” from the rooftops, and here is my chance. And here is YOUR chance too.... Now, ladies and gentlemen, here is my personal request to you: Can YOU muster up the courage to help others, and to gain public, and hopefully media awareness, by doing this as well?... I would love to hear your stories and ideas! … Good luck, and health to you all…Petra”

October 5, 2010

Debi sent in this Sign 4 C Moment with the following message for readers: "I found out I have HCV about 7 years ago. Had treatment twice and am now SVR* for almost 6 years!!! The dragon is sleeping. I wish the best to all of my fellow sufferers and you are all in my prayers always."
*SVR (Sustained Viral Response) = Hepatitis Virus is no longer dedectable in medical blood tests / the person is not contagious. Medical specialists universally agree that people maintaining SVR for over 2 years will not have a recurrence of the original virus.

TROY, MONTANA

Troy High School

May 19, 2009

Students from Troy High School in Montana participate in the "Sign 4 C" campaign below.
Sincere appreciation is offered to the principal of Troy HS, the Jr. High Health Education teacher, Sandy Jansma and Terrie Lenhart, a substitute teacher for Troy JR High/High. Ms. Lenhart arranged a special Hepatitis C Awareness Day on May 19 to compliment Worldwide Hepatitis Awareness Day. Education was the focus regarding how to prevent the spread of the disease. The students were most interested in the lack of symptoms, the level of liver damage possible and how effective the current treatment may be, while a cure is continually being researched.

Upholding the statistic of one person in every fifty in the US being victim to HCV; some of the participants of this one event are aware of at least two people who are known to be infected. One large misconception corrected at the event was that HCV is transmitted wholly by contaminated blood to bodily fluid and by no other known means. While use of condoms is always strongly and fully supported, condom use will make no percentage difference in the spread of the Hepatitis Virus.

I thought, hey let's tell everyone here about Debbullan’s project... and then I asked everyone to make the sign so I can take a picture from behind the microphone, between two songs, hehehe and that's what happened... this picture I took between song 5 and 6 of our set there... and everyone did it with love..."

Clinton Rally
Fort Worth, Texas

March 1, 2008

I was lucky enough to sit immediately next to a woman that was chosen for a TV interview. While she spoke I signed “C” for just a few seconds right behind and next to the woman’s head. The interviewer looked at me but did not say anything. I think perhaps he thought the "C" stood for Clinton! The interviewer’s mic had the letters "SF" on it. I don’t know what TV station that would be.

During the entire rally I signed “C” while listening to Clinton’s speech. I was 8 rows up and in line with the Senator’s head shot. I hoped pics or video taken of the Senator or the crowd might show me in the background ‘signing for Hep C victims’. I can’t wait until more people do this!
