normally refers to testing for HCV Antibodies.
Testing positive
for antibodies simply means at one time you were exposed to the virus.*
The body will
automatically produce antibodies to fight any new viral infection it
encounters.
To know if you
have chronic Hepatitis C a PCR test is needed. Polymerase Chain Reaction explained simply: A small specimen is replicated until a large enough sample is available to confirm results.
